Who we are
Goal Grinders Tech ("Goal Grinders", "we") provides an achievement and habit app that helps you set goals, break them into moves, and complete them daily. This policy explains what personal information the app collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. It applies to the Goal Grinders mobile apps and web app, and to the services that support them.
Privacy summary
• We collect only what the app needs to run your account and your goals: your name, your email address, your sign-in credentials, the goals and moves you create, and your notification preferences. • We use that information for account management, authentication, password resets and account recovery, customer support, and delivering the features you use. • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your name, email address, or phone number with advertising networks or data brokers. • The app contains no advertising and no advertising or tracking SDKs, so no App Tracking Transparency permission is required. • We do not currently ask for your phone number. See "Personal information we collect" below. • Our service providers process information on our behalf to host, deliver, secure, and support the app, as described in "Third-party service providers and what they receive". We never sell it or give it to advertising or tracking partners.
Personal information we collect
• Account and profile: your name, your email address, and a password. Authentication is handled by our hosting platform and your password is stored in hashed form by that platform — we never see it. You may optionally add a profile picture, a display name, and an "I am…" statement. • Phone number: we do not currently ask for a phone number. If a feature you choose to use requires one (for example SMS reminders), we will ask for it at that point, and it will be used only for that feature and the operational purposes listed below. • Account credentials and authentication information: your email address, session tokens that keep you signed in, and the account identifier your sign-in provider returns if you sign in with Google or Apple. • Your content: the goals, actions, weekly goals, schedules, notes, affirmations, streaks, and progress you create in the app. • Support and rights requests: what you write when you submit a request or report from the in-app Privacy Choices screen, together with the type, date, and status of the request. • Notification data: if you turn notifications on, a device or browser subscription identifier, basic device and browser information, and technical data such as your IP address, so our notification provider can deliver the message. • Technical and diagnostic data: basic usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and error logs, used to run and fix the app. It is not used to advertise to you or to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use personal information
We use personal information only for legitimate operational purposes: • Creating, maintaining, and securing your account • Authenticating you and keeping you signed in • Password resets and account recovery • Customer support, and answering your questions and requests • Account-related communications such as verification, security, and service messages • Providing, maintaining, and improving Goal Grinders features you use, including reminders you ask for • Maintaining application security, preventing abuse and misuse, and diagnosing and fixing technical problems • Complying with the law and enforcing our Terms of Service We do not use your name, email address, or phone number for cross-app or cross-site tracking, advertising profiling, or targeted advertising, and we do not use them to build advertising audiences on other services.
What we never do with your information
• We do not track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes. • We do not use advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking signals. • We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. • We do not share your name, email address, or phone number with advertising networks for tracking or advertising profiling. • We do not use your contact information to build advertising profiles across third-party services. • We do not run advertising, retargeting, or advertising pixels in the app, and we do not use session replay or screen recording tools. Because the app does not track you, no App Tracking Transparency permission is required. If that ever changed, we would ask for your permission first and update this policy before enabling it.
Goals, actions and progress
The goals, actions, weekly goals, schedules, notes, streaks, and progress you create are stored on our servers and linked to your account. Access to this data is restricted to your account, so other users cannot see or change it. This data is removed from our servers when you delete your account.
Microphone and voice input
Some features let you speak instead of type, for example to describe a goal, turn it into actionable steps, organize your next moves, or plan your day. The app only requests microphone access when you tap a voice input button. On devices with built-in speech recognition (such as iPhone and most browsers), your speech is converted to text by your device's speech recognition service. On iPhone, Apple's speech recognition may process audio on the device or on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. In this case, Goal Grinders does not receive or store your audio. On devices without built-in speech recognition, your audio is recorded, uploaded to our private storage, and a temporary signed link is sent to a third-party transcription service that converts your speech to text. The audio upload is used only for transcription. See "Artificial Intelligence and AI Powered Features" below for details. In both cases, the resulting text appears in the field you are filling in, and when you speak your moves, the text may be sent to our AI provider to break it into separate actions. You can review, edit, or discard the text before saving. Recording stops when you tap the button again, finish speaking, or leave the screen.
Artificial Intelligence and AI Powered Features
Goal Grinders offers certain optional features that use artificial intelligence (AI) powered by third-party services. This section explains how AI is used, what information is processed, and the choices you have. AI features are off by default and require your explicit consent before they can be used.
A. How Goal Grinders Uses AI
Goal Grinders uses AI-powered services for the following optional features: 1. Generating suggested actions from your goals. When you create a goal or plan ahead, AI can suggest concrete daily actions based on your goal title, description, and category. 2. Organizing typed or transcribed text into suggested actions. When you type or speak several actions at once, AI helps split them into separate, distinct moves. 3. Transcribing audio recordings into text. When you use voice input on devices without built-in speech recognition, your audio recording is sent to a transcription service that converts speech to text. Not all app activity is processed by AI. AI is used only when you explicitly request one of these features. You can use the app fully without AI: type your actions manually, plan your days yourself, and track progress without any AI assistance.
B. Information Processed by AI Providers
When you use an AI-powered feature, the following categories of information may be sent to third-party AI service providers through our hosting platform's integration layer: 1. Goal titles, descriptions, and categories you enter. 2. Existing action names and relevant goal planning information, used to avoid duplicate suggestions. 3. User-entered or transcribed text you provide for action splitting. 4. Relevant date and time information, including your timezone and the current date, used to organize and schedule actions. 5. Audio recordings or audio file references submitted for transcription when you use voice functionality on devices without built-in speech recognition. This information is transmitted to third-party AI services where required to provide the relevant functionality. We send only the information needed to deliver the feature you requested. We do not claim that this information is anonymous, never stored, never shared, or never used for model training, as those practices are governed by each provider's own terms and policies.
C. AI Providers and Data Handling
AI features are provided through our hosting platform (Base44) and its integrated AI services, which may include language model providers for text processing and speech-to-text transcription services for audio transcription. The retention, processing, and training practices of these third-party providers are governed by their applicable service arrangements and privacy documentation. We do not control how long these providers retain your inputs or whether they use them for model training. We have not independently verified the specific retention or training practices of each underlying AI provider. If you require detailed information about a specific provider's data handling practices, contact us using the instructions in the "Contact us" section below and we will provide what information we can.
D. User Consent and Preferences
You can manage optional AI processing through the in-app Settings, then AI & Privacy, then AI Consent & Preferences screen. From there you can enable or decline optional AI functionality. When you enable optional AI features, the processing needed to deliver the features you request occurs only when you use them. When you decline, the relevant AI-powered functionality is disabled. Non-AI features remain fully accessible: you can type actions manually, plan your days yourself, and track progress without any AI assistance.
E. Withdrawal of Consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time from the AI Consent & Preferences screen by toggling off optional AI features and saving. Withdrawing consent disables future AI processing for applicable features. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete information that has already been sent to an external AI provider. Previously saved actions, moves, and goals remain in your account unchanged. Information already processed by a third-party provider is subject to that provider's retention practices.

Manage your AI Consent & PreferencesPush notifications and device data
If you enable push notifications, we use OneSignal, a third-party notification delivery service, to deliver them. To send a notification, OneSignal receives a device or browser subscription identifier, basic device and browser information, and technical data such as your IP address. Notification content is limited to app-related messages such as reminders and product updates; we do not use push notifications for advertising, and we do not show a notification permission prompt unless you turn notifications on yourself. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or browser settings and in the app's notification preferences. If you turn them off, we stop sending them.
Cookies, browser storage and tracking
Goal Grinders stores a small amount of information in your browser so the app can work: a sign-in session that keeps you logged in, and a temporary copy of an in-progress goal draft in session storage so you do not lose your work if you reload. Both are essential to the service and are not used for advertising or profiling. We do not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-site advertising tracking. We do not use session replay or screen recording tools, and we do not record keystrokes, form entries, passwords, or payment information anywhere in the app or its logs. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Some pages load resources from third-party services: our hosting platform (accounts, storage, and server functions), Google Fonts (typefaces, licensed under the SIL Open Font License), and OneSignal (push delivery). Those services receive the technical request data needed to serve the resource, including your IP address. Because we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking, there is no advertising consent banner to accept, and there is no advertising activity for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. Your browser and device settings always let you block or clear cookies and storage, and you can submit an opt-out or deletion request from Privacy Choices in the app.
Notifications and emails
With your account we may send a welcome email, a short series of tips emails, and reminders or product updates. You can manage email and notification preferences in Account Management, and we treat those settings as your instruction for those messages.
Analytics and diagnostics
Our hosting platform may collect basic, non-advertising usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and error logs to keep the app running and improve it. This information is not shared with advertising networks or data brokers, is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is not sold. We do not use session replay or screen-recording tools, and we do not capture keystrokes, form field values, passwords, or authentication tokens in analytics events, application logs, or error messages.
Third-party service providers and what they receive
We use a small number of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to perform its job for us, and none of them is an advertising or tracking partner: • Base44 (our app platform): application hosting, accounts and authentication, database and file storage, server functions, email delivery for account and service messages, and the integration layer that passes a specific request to the AI providers below. • OneSignal: push notification delivery. If you turn notifications on, it receives a device or browser subscription identifier, basic device and browser information, the notification content, and technical data such as your IP address. • AI and transcription providers used through Base44: receive only the prompt content, goal and action text, and audio described in the AI section above, and only when you use an AI feature you have enabled. • Google Fonts: serves the app's typefaces and receives the technical request data needed to deliver them, including your IP address. • Google and Apple sign-in: if you choose those sign-in options, they authenticate you and return your name, email address, and a provider account identifier. • Your device's speech recognition service (Apple or your browser): converts your speech to text on your device or on the provider's servers under that provider's privacy policy, so Goal Grinders does not receive your audio. • Our mobile app delivery platform (Despia): packages and delivers the iOS app and its updates, and receives the technical app-delivery data needed to do that. • Media and content delivery: serves images and other app assets and receives the technical request data needed to deliver them. We do not state that no information is ever shared with third parties: these providers receive what they need to operate, host, secure, support, and deliver the app, and nothing beyond that. We do not sell personal information to them, and we do not permit them to use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Account information is kept while your account is active; goals, actions, and progress are kept so the app can show your history. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Legal & Privacy, then Delete Account. Confirming deletion immediately removes your account record, profile data, goals, actions, weekly goals, saved affirmations, streak and stat records, achievements, AI consent records, and any privacy or abuse reports tied to your account from our servers, and revokes your sign-in. Other users never had access to this data, and nothing in it remains reachable through the app, an API, or search results. One limited record outlives deletion: a completion record of the deletion request itself, which stores a non-identifying account reference and the date and status of the request, so we can show the request was honored. Profile pictures are stored privately and are only reachable through signed links that expire.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can submit these requests from Legal & Privacy, then Privacy Choices in the app, and every request is logged with a date and status so it can be tracked. You can delete your account yourself from the same screen. We respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need more time or cannot fulfill a request. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of — if you submit an opt-out request anyway, we log it as a standing instruction on your account. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Submit a privacy request or delete your accountSecurity
Data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit, profile pictures are stored privately, and access to account data is restricted to your account. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Goal Grinders is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. The app contains no advertising and no advertising trackers, and it is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, submit a request from Privacy Choices in the app and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
